Innovative Solutions for a Sustainable Business

At HFD Energy, we're committed to leading the charge towards a sustainable energy future. Our work is undertaken to meet HFD’s energy needs and our 2030 goals and pave the way for a cleaner, greener tomorrow.

In pursuing our goals, we're focusing on enhancing the sustainability of our existing buildings and spaces. By leveraging solar energy, we're installing panels on roofs across our associated business parks, harnessing the sun's power to drive our operations forward. Additionally, we're embracing the electric vehicle revolution by deploying EV charging stations and fostering a culture of eco-conscious transportation among our tenants and visitors.

As shown by our goals above, by 2030, we aim to have up to 1,000 EV chargers installed across our parks, facilitating the widespread adoption of electric vehicles and reducing carbon emissions. Moreover, we're venturing into renewable wind energy by establishing HFD wind farms in the central belt of Scotland. With a capacity of 150 MW spread across three sites, these wind farms will not only generate clean, green electricity but will also serve as a landmark for our commitment to sustainability.

We're frontrunners in the transition towards electric-only energy by replacing all gas usage in HFD buildings with electricity, ensuring that 100% renewable sources power all our operations. Our innovative private wire system will establish a direct line from the power source to our buildings, bypassing the grid and providing reliable, sustainable energy to all HFD buildings.
